Season of Gratitude
In the US, family and friends gather on the the fourth Thursday of November every year to celebrate Thanksgiving. As I was planning my post schedule, I thought about doing a gratitude list that day. Then I thought, why not make November the gratitude month and do a post everyday on a gratitude moment. I started to get really excited about the whole idea. Well, what about doing a list everyday?

The idea grew bigger and bigger. At one point, I wanted to challenge myself to write a daily gratitude list of 100 items everyday. However, I thought that it would get repetitive after a while. So then I thought, hmmm, why not involve the whole community. It would be a great way to put the spiritual principle of gratitude into practice. It will also give ourselves, the blogging community, the chance to gather as a virtual family and share our Thanksgiving feast.

And so, A Season of Gratitude: 30 Days of Thanksgiving was born. I’m doing it in the style of Problogger’s Group Writing Project.

For 30 days leading up to Thanksgiving, from Tuesday, October 24th (tomorrow) through Wednesday, November 22nd, Balanced Life Center will be all about gratitude and thanksgiving.

I invite you to partake in the Thanksgiving feast by submitting your own gratitude moment through the contact form. Every day I will post the list of submissions and do another post about my own gratitude moment.

How to Participate
Here?€™s how you can participate.

1. Write a ?€˜gratitude?€™ post

Be as creative as you?€™d like. Posts can be funny, serious, long, short, a list, a story, pictures, video, from the recent past, or nostalgic. You name it. Just 2 requests:

  • Remember to be thankful.
  • Keep it clean and family friendly.

Be as creative with the title.

You can let your readers know you’re participating by putting a link back to this post in your post. You can even use the logo. It’s not required, but it is greatly appreciated (thank you ;-) ). It will also help to share the energy.

2. Let me Know about your post

  • When you post your Gratitude Moment, let me know about it by sending me an email via my contact form.
  • Put “Season of Gratitude” in the subject Line.
  • Make sure you include your name (as you want it to appear in the list), your post title and the URL to your post (not just to your blog?€™s front page).
  • Submissions will be accepted through 3PM Eastern Standard Time on November 21st.
  • Submit only new posts.
  • You don’t have to participate everyday, but when you do, please submit only one post per blogger per day (not one post per blog).

3. I will post 2 links to your post
One on the day your gratitude moment is listed, and one on the Season of Gratitude page.

4. Go Around the Table (Surf, Surf, Surf)

Share in the Thanksgiving feast. Surf the submissions received, leave comments, make connections with other Balanced Life Center readers and enjoy reading what others have to say.

5. Pass the Sweet
Potatoes (Link, Link, Link)
