When you are consciously working on yourself and contantly asking questions and looking for answers, you might start chasing every clue that shows up. For a while things become more muddled than they started. Serendipity is one way you can weed out the wheat from the chaff.
After writing down my purpose 4 months ago, I began to ask how to fulfill it. Ideas started coming in a rush. It’s as if my soul was waiting for some attention. It just poured out. I would chase an idea after idea, trying to figure it all out. I was getting exhausted and scattered. The original energy behind figuring out my purpose was disintegrating, so I asked for some clarity.
A month later I was at a board meeting and heard the term “appreciative inquiry.” It was used in reference to positively dealing with complaints.
Two months after that, at a workshop, I heard it again. This time in reference to visioning and creating 3-5 year plans.
Last week, I wrote a post on positive speaking. Alexander from Happiness at Work commented on the post and mentioned the phrase.
Now, do you think that I should investigate appreciative inquiry?
When something like that happens, it is God’s way of saying, “Pay attention!” Serendipity is the red flag that gets you to return to an answer again and again, until you get it.
Have you experienced any sychronicities lately? I would love to hear about them in the comments.
