Basic Problem Solving
“Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them.” –Albert Einstein
I’m not sure if Big Al was only talking physics, but this is so true for life. If you’re in a crisis, you can’t get out of it while you are there. See the conundrum?
So what can you do? You can change your level of thinking. One of the easiest ways to do that is to start giving. It doesn’t have to be material. You could give a smile, or a thank you, or an acknowledgment. You can even give a place in line. Giving transforms your perspective on life from competitive to cooperative. As a result, you begin to see solutions.
Once you start to imagine solutions, it may still seem difficult to put them into practice. In that case, you make a change in the direction of the solution. It doesn’t matter how small the change is, it just needs to be in the direction of your solution. As you put one foot in front of the other out of the problem and into the solution, even more opportunities may present themselves. Incorporate these ideas into your solution. Before you know it, you will be on the other side.
How do you solve your life problems?
