Late to the party again, but fashionably so, I hope. This week’s Personal Development Carnival is up at Creating A Better Life. I submitted the thought-provoking post, “Is God All Good?“. I also submitted the post on positive speaking to the Personal Growth Carnival.
I will be the host of this Sunday’s edition of the Personal Development Carnival, so submit your posts at Blog Carnival.
Here are some of my picks from the past two editions. Hope you enjoy!
How Did You Lose Your Innocence? - Like one of David’s clients, I was introduced to the world of consulting and taught to oversell my competencies. Interestingly, that only forced me to stretch to meet the standard I set. I still believe that it is possible to follow your bliss. David invites us to share our answers in the comments.
Get On With Life - Another look at the mass media debacle, but I think this comment gets at the core of it: “If more people would wake up to what they can do, and stopped worrying about things they can?€™t directly change, we would be a lot better off.”
50 Strategies for Making Yourself Write, Work, or Do Anything - The writing part piqued my interest. Try this one if you really need some incentive: “Chain the wolf to the door. Buy expensive things on credit, quit your job, etc. JUST KIDDING! (But I tried it once, and it worked, too ?€? for a while.) ”
God, Heaven, and Other Controversial Beliefs - A well-written post on finding your spiritual path. Everyone has their own quest. Steve, thank you for sharing yours.
Satisfy Your Soul - The rhythm of this post is so soothing. Just reading it is satisfying my soul. Check it out for a midday calm.
Why I Always Have Time To Do Things - Gleb shares his insights on time management. This statement sums it up: “Having time to do things DOES NOT mean having spare time. It simply means having the clear purpose of why you need to find more time to do something, and having the courage to make it happen.”
9 Tips For Interviewers - This post doesn’t really have much to do with spirituality, but it contains salient points for effective interviewing.

Thanks for the list, Nneka. I managed to miss some of these when the carnival was first published. And congratulations on hosting the Personal Development Carnival next week.

It is my pleasure Rick. I get so much from the Carnivals, it’s no problem to highlight some of my favorites. Hope you join in the Carnival next week.
