Personal Development Carnival - 10/01/06 Edition
I’m a bit late to the party. This week’s edition of the Personal Development Carnival is up at Personal Development Ideas. I submitted my article on power walking to this carnival. Here are some of the posts that I found helpful, inspiring, and interesting.
Asher submitted an insightful article on how to break down disempowering beliefs and build up positive, desired beliefs. Check out Focus on Your Beliefs not on Your Behaviour.
Bryan updates up on the Million Dollar Savings Club with his article about counting cold hard cash. There’s a lot to be said for actually dealing with coins and paper. Money is an idea, to be sure, especially in today’s world of electronic banking. However, it’s good to sense it every now and again.
Patricia presents an honest post about her experience with an eating disorder and how she found her way back. I felt like she was telling my story and talking to me. Thanks for your honesty and bravery.
Last week I discovered two great personal development blogs. When you’re done with the carnival, check out Kammie at Passion Meets Purpose, and Rick at Shards of Consciousness.
In Spirit,
Nneka

Hi Nneka! (How do you pronounce your name?) Thank you for the mention of Shards of Consciousness. Somehow I haven”t noticed your site before, but expect to see me more. You have some interesting articles here.

Patricia and Rick, it was my pleasure.
Rick, it’s pronounced En-Nay-Kah.

Thanks, Nneka. I tend to subvocalize when I think, and my Dad always told me not to mumble.

Thanks so much for the link-love and the shout out to your readers! I’m happy to know how to pronounce your name as well.
How lovely a name it is!
