Transform Your Life in 3 Easy Steps
Yesterday I started my 3 Step Life Transformation Program. I thought I’d share it with you. It’s not really 3 steps, just 3 parts. Take at least 30 minutes out of your day for each part in the program. That’s one and a half hours a day to completely transform your life. Not a bad deal.
Honor Your Spirit
The purpose of this time is to reconnect to your Source, by whatever name you call it. It is a time to contemplate the nature of the Universe, the nature of God, and your relationship to all of it. This is not an intellectual contemplation. Your mind could go around in circles trying to understand these things. Instead it is a time to connect with your Spirit and get answers from within.
You might choose to do this by reading a spiritual text and contemplating it for the time that you have allotted, or you may choose to meditate. If you do not have an existing spiritual practice or a framework for it, in the beginning, you can take this time to discover a spiritual practice that works for you.
Honor Your Body
You guessed it, this time is for body movement. It could be as formal or informal as you like. Take a walk, go to the gym, use an exercise DVD, play some sport. Whatever you do move your body.
Honor Your Mind
The time you spend to honor your mind is about living your purpose. Rather than complain about not knowing what your purpose is in life or that you can’t give up your day job to pursue it, keep this 30 minutes sacred and dedicate the time to the pursuit of your purpose. If you don’t know what your purpose is, use this time to figure it out.
How can I live my purpose in just 30 minutes a day? Well, you may not be able to do everything in your grand plan, but you can dedicate this time to doing a little with it everyday. Since what you concentrate on expands, this time will grow and it will fuel you to do more around your purpose. You may even find a way to live your purpose in every moment. For example, if you discover that your purpose is to share your voice with the world, you can go about your day humming a song. In your 30 minutes, you might practice the scales, or write lyrics, or attend voice class. Take this time to work dillegently on what you are meant to do.
My 3 Step Life Transformation Program
Admittedly, my life is in dire need of transformation. I won’t go into details here, but suffice it to say that I need work on every area especially the areas of health, and wealth. So I embark on this life transformation program with you. I am completely into self improvement, so it’s likely that this program will continue for the rest of my life. My intensity for the 3 parts may change. I’m starting off with the following:
- Honor Your Spirit: Meditation
- Honor Your Body: Walking (outside, treadmill, or DVD)
- Honor Your Mind: Writing for a publication
I hope you join me on this journey. I’ll be
back in a month to let you know how it’s going.

[...] For my new readers, in September 2006 I started what I termed a Life Transformation Program. I committed to exercise, meditate, and write every day in order to get my life to reflect my beliefs. So far I’ve had tremendous success with the program. Every month I submit an update with some of the shifts I’ve experienced as a result of developing those 3 habits. [...]

Hi, I made a comment on Kammie’s Passion Meets Purpose in response to your comment. Interestingly my church is launching a Transformation Lifestyle Challenge,
Or TLC, this month. It is about nurturing Body Soul and Spirit. Exercise, facing emotional issues, and drawing closer to God. VERY Interesting!

Angel, I just love it when ideas converge. I started this program in September and it has worked wonders to shift my life. At first I committed to doing those 3 things everyday to fuel my body (walk), Spirit (meditate), and soul/passion (write).
I hope you have a transformative experience with your church program. It will be awesome to add the energy of like minded individuals.
Thank you for taking the time to come by and comment. Do come again.
In Spirit,
Nneka

Great ideas! Thinking about how to seek balance in mind, body and spirit pursuits can help attract the inner peace people seemingly desire. Any fulfillment we get out of life is proportional to what we put in and what steps we take to evolve in our own ways.

Too bad someone can not write just how the program works and solve
everyone’s problems at once. Money doesn’t solve the problems in the
world If your mirical works tell me how to do it and not all this other
claims
thank you
