Kam over at Passion Meets Purpose tagged me. This is the thrid request, in as many days, that I’ve had to tell you more about myself. What are you trying to say to me? :-)

I promise this weekend I’ll work on my about page, in the meantime, you can get a glimpse into Nneka from these little known facts.

  1. My guilty pleasures are Danity Kane from Making the Band on MTV, the movie Center Stage, and Sex and the City. They’re all frivolous and flighty, but I love them. I could watch those things over and over again.
  2. I have an adorable, insightful 5 year old nephew and a bossy, independent 3 year old niece. They are really great, but they think I’m in heaven because they don’t see me very often. I am looking forward to yumming them up over Christmas.
  3. I consider my cousins my brothers and sisters, and my aunts and uncles my parents. My nuclear family is wonderful, but I lived with my grandparents from 8-14 and it had a profound impact on my sense of family.
  4. I have a civil engineering degree. I am very good at science and math and I was intrigued with the highway system in Miami, so I decided to find out how they were made. Once I figured it out and learned that a civil engineer could spend 6+ months designing a 1-mile section of highway, I lost all interest.
  5. I co-owned and operated an online plus size lingerie store for 3 years. I learned a lot about business, sales, value, and customer service during that time.
